Our approach
CELEBRATED EVENTS is a full-service, luxury design and planning company which specializes in producing unforgettable weddings and social events.
We are based in Rochester, New York and regularly work throughout western New York and the beautiful Finger Lakes region in fine venues, clubs and private estates. We love to travel and have planned weddings as far afield as West Virginia’s iconic Greenbrier. We create a limited number of events each year, so that we can obsess about each one in its turn! As our schedule allows, we also produce larger social events and mitzvahs.
Our approach encompasses three elements:
INSPIRED DESIGN
From your invitations, which set the stage for your wedding, to all the layered visual and sensory elements of your wedding day…
We imagine the big picture and we consider the smallest details. We design inspired environments… and tablescapes curated to a fine point. We strive to help you articulate your personal aesthetic and encourage you to share your love story through the day.
Over the years, we have sourced and formed relationships with the best local and national creative partners and vendors who can specially procure, custom design and fabricate for us as needed to bring our vision to life.
We are aware of design and wedding trends, but want your wedding to reflect YOU rather than a mashup of Pinterest pages and to draw inspiration from the season and location. The wide-ranging styles shown in our Portfolio reflects how important it is to us to be inspired by our ‘CelebratedCouples.’ We respect the classics of wedding design and style as well, but are driven to re-imagine them in a fresh and personal way.
We want your wedding to incorporate elements of surprise and delight and be aesthetically cohesive - a day you’ll look back on in 10 years and love just as much as you do on your wedding day!
IMPECCABLE PLANNING
We have decades of experience at creating our custom Planning and Event Timelines, site plans and scale drawings, but these are just the basic building blocks of wedding planning. Instinctively, we plan for what a room will feel like and what your guests will experience. Our years have taught us what works well and what doesn’t, where to build in some extra time and possible layout, design and timing pitfalls to avoid.
In considering your guests’ experiences throughout the day, we try to curate their progression through each space and particular event - and the emotions and energies of your wedding day. We help create mood through lighting, color, music and scent. And most importantly, we consider how the day will flow and feel from your perspective.
We are well versed in traditional etiquette and will advise you accordingly - but the first to support you in bending or tossing those the rules when it’s thoughtful and appropriate. And we can be as involved in establishing and allocating your budget as you wish.
CONCIERGE ORCHESTRATION
On your wedding day, we want you and your families to feel transported into your vision, without a worry about timing or logistics. Our concierge service will take care of you from arrival to departure. (When would you like us to bring you a glass of champagne or your signature cocktail? Yes, we’ll keep water at hand 24/7! Yes, we’ll be sure the gifts are all packed as planned at the end of the evening.)
We arrive on sight mightily prepared, with both our Wedding Emergency Kit (sewing kit, spot remover, lint roller, etc.) and our Event Kit (tools, cleaning supplies, every tape, extra candles, extra ribbon, lots of Zots!) We will care for your personal wedding items throughout the wedding week, re-pack them for you and ensure their safe return.
We are the answer people the vendor team will reach out to for any week of and day of questions. The truth is, most questions we find are anticipated in our detailed Wedding Day or Week Timeline, which the vendors receive and collaborate on in advance.
Our calm and experienced orchestration of the flow of the day with your entire team allows you and your families to fully experience the joy and meaning of the day. Truly, we believe ‘teamwork makes the dream work!’
OUR SERVICES
Rather than offering ‘packages,’ which may or may not suit your needs, we have a unique pricing structure for our consulting and orchestration, which enables us to design and plan as much or as little as you need.
We have always believed the process should be fully transparent so all vendor contracts are written directly to you.
