I FOUNDED CELEBRATED EVENTS IN 1990, after 10 years in the restaurant and catering business and just after my own wedding. Planning special events and weddings had been my favorite part of the business, but it was the personal experience of being the bride AND the planner that made me realize I had valuable expertise to share.
My Brown Art History degree had trained my eye, shaping me as a visual person forever. I loved that event design and planning drew on both my professional experience and academic training. Starting out, there were no local wedding planners, no role models and no social media – but I knew I wanted to assist our couples through the design and planning journey, sharing my event expertise, my eye and then enabling them to be fully present for their wedding day.
Fast forward a few decades and hundreds of weddings later, and I still love collaborating with our ‘CelebratedCouples’ to create beautiful and meaningful celebrations! The wedding industry has changed so much since I began – but the basics remain… it is a profession with service, organization, imagination and creativity at its core. Our goal is to help bring joy and beauty to the world, one lovingly crafted wedding at a time.
My husband and I just celebrated our 30th anniversary - of our wedding and of founding Celebrated Events! We are blessed to have three adored 20-somethings - and they all live in great cities to visit. Off-season, I’m ready to pack my bag and explore. At 19, I backpacked through Europe for six months and I’ve never lost that wanderlust - or the joy of discovering new inspiration!

We are typically the first to arrive on site and the last to depart, ensuring everything is perfectly styled as designed, that your day flows as smoothly as planned and that you – and your guests – feel totally catered to and cared for!

Our concierge orchestration services can be custom-scaled depending on whether you’re planning an intimate micro wedding or hosting multiple large events over the wedding week.
